Sounds interesting….

What Sounds Would You Miss With Hearing Loss?

DEFINITION OF SOUND:

Vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a persons or animals ear.Or the sensation perceived by the sense of hearing. So according to me sound has a value as well as emotions or feelings too, that can observed and listen through the ears.

Why is sound often overlooked in design?

Sound plays an important role in designing .This design can be film ,documentary or any visual. So sound production is probably the most overlooked aspect of film making mainly, because u don’t notice great sound design, it seamlessly helps you submit to the willing suspension of disbelief. In the film making or any documentary ,sound plays a major and likely to play before a song.

ORGANIC SOUND:

Organic Sound. … The organic sound of Hegel means that all parts of a dynamic recording are reproduced exactly like the original. The quality of the sound coming out of your speakers are only limited by what happened in the recording studio. Nothing added, nothing taken out – no artificial ingredients. So its related to pure sound.”Organic” means that the piece is like an organism rather than like an inert object. Typically music that it is organic “grows” from the seed of an idea and then develops into a different thing, so the most organic type of music is probably free improvisation, or music that was composed out of improvisation.

VIDEO ON WHY SOUND IS REALLY IMPORTANT?

TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE:

Tangible sound is a vibration ,we can literally feel vibrations, they are tangible. So tangible sound is a musical instrument with a novel user interface based on physical interaction with water.Water is a suitable interface for performing music because fluids and sounds have common characteristics.

INTANGIBLE SOUND:

The heritage and identity character of urban soundscapes and other landscapes ( lighscapes, nightscapes…) was recently fully recognized both in literature and in practice. An example is the inscription of the Jemaa El Fna, the main square of Marrakech, on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage that has introduced or encouraged a new heritage registry based on the consideration of oral expressions as they unfold in the urban space. More generally, sounds are part of the cities and the places, part of their sensorial landscape, of their identity. They are one of the urban markers, just like the visual landscape. Nevertheless, the relationship between soundscapes, heritage and attractiveness (including tourism) remains to be further explored.

Difference between sound and voice.

The word sound refers to a sensation caused in the ear by the vibration of the surrounding air or other medium.Any thing that may be heard is often referred to by the word sound.

On the other hand the word voice refers to the faculty of speech by the humans. It is the sound produces in a persons larynx and uttered through the mouth,as speech ,song. To make it more simple ,voice refers to a human utterance, whilst sound can come from any source ,slamming a door ,breaking a vase ,clapping your hands together.

Thought process of sound:

This audio is an experimental work of mine in which i create sound with two different utensils that is steel spoon and glass bottle in which i play low and high pitch sounds by adding in and reducing water from glass bottle as well as with adding sound of whistle. when i vibrate spoon with empty glass bottle it create different high pitch then i filled the bottle with water and tap the bottle with spoon to create high and low pitch that create different sounds It was quite fun with this experiment of making sound with different sounds and rhythms.
