History is what makes the future. Museums, archives, website, galleries are shifting to digital platform now a days. As we live in 20th century. Technology is getting advance day by day.

There was a time when people have only option to go and physically view the archives. But now we experience museums through virtual reality. Thanks to Ivan Sutherland and his student, Bob Sproul who invented virtual reality head set and the story begins.    

Back to the topic, museums are the libraries which tells about our heritage.

During covid-19 many art galleries, museums shifted to online exhibitions. As, many were already use virtual reality.

Craft council is established by funding of England art council. Council provides opportunity to children’s and young artist. In current pandemic situation the organization support the craft community of UK.

Louvre: One of the World’s oldest and largest museum. The museum shifted to virtual museum. The webpage of Louvre museum Paris was created on 10 August 1793 with an exhibition of 537 paintings. Digital website contain very impressing features like virtual tour of museums different parts. We can also take information regarding paintings and other craft pieces by clicking on it during the virtual tour. If we want to visit this museum we can also plan and buy ticket online.

Pakistan has enrich cultural heritage but due to lack of facilities in technology these impressive features are not provided by the museum. Fakir Khana museum that was a private museum owned by fakir family to promote art. It is located in Lahore. It has artifacts from the history of till date. Display shows the household, museum.

Citizen archive Pakistan (CAP) is a nonprofit organization. CAP is preserving the Pakistani history, photography, culture, literature and historical documentation.

Autograph is a nonprofit photography base arts agency made by group of black photographers in 1988, London.  Mostly this organization talk about the rights black people (African & south Asian) and minorities, whose reflection also shown in their projects. The missing chapter is one of their project headed by Renee Mussai and supported by Heritage lottery fund over three years 2013 – 2016. They took old photographs of black chronicles from Hulton Archives (collection of old images platform) for that research project. Histography is the beautiful interactive informational website whose timeline shown information in-between 14 billion years of history, from the Big Bang to 2015. This platform shows the information on history of literature, war, construction, music and many others.

Its interface is simple and attractive that shows the user-friendliness with this informational platform.
